[NABS-L] Question about independently scanning

Hi everyone,

I know this is late, but I have a question about scanning independently as a blind person. I am in a social work class where we are working with a practice client, and we have to use certain assessment tools with them as well as keep a case file. I have a digital case folder in Google Drive so that my professor can give me feedback directly on my assignments similar to how she handwrites feedback for the sighted students. One of the assessment tools is for the client to create a genogram, which the client did on paper. However, my professor wants me to scan the genogram so I can put it in my digital case folder, and she wants me to scan it independently due to confidentiality. I am hoping that someone here has some ideas. I have an iPhone, Mac Air, and BrailleNote Touch, and I believe that my campus also has scanners but I’m not sure how accessible they are since I’ve never had to use them. I love KnFB Reader, but I’m not sure how helpful it would be since I’m not trying to convert anything into text. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Mikayla
