Howdy Fahad,

First, I want to commend you for your bravery and awareness in this post. It
takes strength to identify when things are difficult and recognize when it
affects how you are feeling. Furthermore, your transparency in the decision
to reach out to your NABS family is great. I believe I had the pleasure to
meet you once at your state convention and you were a pleasure to talk to,
with a number of interesting ideas on projects. Might I suggest connecting
with members of your local chapter, state affiliate and state student
division on these feelings and how you can use the philosophy of the
Federation to buffer these intrusive thoughts? There are often no times
where I feel more confident or ambitious than when I return from a
Federation event where the leadership is active and our philosophy is
communicated. So, whether it is listening to one of our wonderful banquet
addresses from our past or current national president, or just discussing
things with your affiliate president, I know there is something our
philosophy can do about these thoughts. Feel free to reach out if needed.

With Love, Hope and Determination,

Robert Parsons, Jr., M. A., CRC, CVRT, LLPC

Subject: [NABS-L] Some advice

Hi everyone
Not sure if anyone has experienced this, but I know I have experienced this
as a blind student, and I'm currently going through and would love some
advice.
I'm currently struggling with self sabotaging and not thinking that I'm good
enough. I know this is such a normal thing and it's easier said than done
and would love some insight on what I can do to stop self sabotaging, and if
anyone has self sabotaged in the past and stopped it. How do you overcome
it.

Best,
Fahad
