[NABS-L] Dealing with math in college

HiTerri,
I definitely feel your pain there with the math classes.
I was supposed to take a general math course last semester, however, when
the school found out it would be about $30,000 to produce the book in
braille, they were much more willing to discuss other options.
I ended up taking a macroeconomics class instead, which had bits of math in
it, however, it wasn't solely focused on math.
It is good that you are thinking about this now because it sounds like you
have ample time to prepare.
I would have a meeting with your disability office as well as whoever is in
charge of the math department at the school and look at all the options. I
would also discuss with them some of your struggles in the past that you
can use as examples for how to help you in the future.
Thanks and hope this is helpful.
Simon.
