While I cannot speak to Black Board versus canvas, I can speak to the accessibility of Web-Ex; I use it daily for participation in work meetings, and find it user-friendly.

Sincerely,

Cory McMahon

Subject: [NABS-L] Blackboard versus Canvas

Hello all
Hoping you all can help out here. I am looking into going back for a Master's degree in Human Resources or an MBA in Human Resources. I did my undergraduate studies at Ashland on campus and liked it, but I will need to do the Master's online due to working full time. Ashland offers a tuition discount for alumni, so I'm really leaning toward them. However, they use BlackBoard for their course content which I have heard is not very accessible with JAWS, so that concerns me a bit. They also use Webex for live sessions and require all students to have their video on at all times which can be tricky for someone who is blind due to having to position the camera properly. I have also heard commercials for Franklin University and also like their program. They are using Canvas and they encourage univers at l course design by faculty. from an assistive technology perspective, which of the two systems would be more accessible? I know neither BlackBoard nor Canvas are 100 percent accessible with JAWS, but I don't want lack of accessibility to be a barrier, so I would love some insight on which of these systems would cause less frustration in the long run.
