[nagdu] guiding eyes application question

Dear All,
I find this exchange very interesting. Why do they need to know this
information? I would like to know if other schools ask for it and the
purpose for the need to know. Does this sound a little paternalistic? How
does underlying beliefs about the capacities of blind people get transmitted
by some of the guide dog school's policies and practices. Do you also find
it interesting that these attitudes and beliefs about our capabilities are
manifested in paternalistic, custodial ownership policies? Need we connect
the dots?

Fraternally,
Marion Gwizdala
