Joy,

Thanks! Any assistance you can give with the data collection part of the
project would be great. Using the data from the schools and giving
appropriate credit is an excellent idea. Once we have a good batch of
sample data, I can use that to start designing the database.

If you're interested in going forward, contact me off-list at
webmaster at nfb-nadu.org. The same goes for anyone else who wants to assist.
/smile/ I'm currently working on some back-end improvements to make the
site more efficient and manageable. It's coming along slowly, I'm afraid,
but surely.

Thanks again for your offer of assistance and ideas!

Tami Smith-Kinney

Marion and Tami,

That sounds great to me. I graduated from law school over twenty years ago
so can do research and more recently did advocacy work on disability rights
so this would definitely be up my alley. I've used data bases rarely but
figure I can work things out. One suggestion that I have is that we contact
the dog guide schools because many of them have collected some of the
information and would probably b able to give us a hand. Especially if
appropriate credit was given for their efforts.

Marion and Joy,

I agree that this is an excellent idea! Our website will soon be
database-driven, and this will be an excellent addition.

Joy,
I think your idea of having a database of guide dog user discrimination
cases is an excellent one. We have at least one attorney and one law student

on this list, so perhaps we can look into this for our website.

Marion
