[nagdu] Grooming

I use a straight stainless steel comb, and a soft slicker brush. From time
to time, I use the Furminator, always first, then the comb and brush clean
out the loose hair that the Furminator has loosened from the undercoat.
The Furminator is a heavy steel (I think) tool with tiny teeth, close
together, that does a whale of a job getting dead hair out of the undercoat.
Therefore, it reduces shedding quite a bit.
I usually groom my dog outside, unless the temp is below 20 degrees, and
then I will groom inside.
I have only had one dog that liked to have her teeth brushed & did not try
to lick or chew on brush, hand, etc. I do make an attempt with toothpaste
on my finger, which Rhoda loves.
About twice a week, I give her an Iams Tartar Control chew. They are kind
of expensive, but they keep her breath smelling fresh, and the vet says her
teeth are beautiful, and need no veterinary attention.
Guiding Eyes issues a comb and soft slicker brush, and you can also buy a
rake from them.
The Furminator is kind of expensive--like an investment--and I am glad to
take responsibility for that, as it will last a lifetime.

Just out of curiosity, total optional response 1. What grooming equipment do
you use?
2. If you received your dog from an organization, what grooming equipment
was issued?
3. What grooming equipment was not issued that you feel should have been, if
any?
