Well, for almost every subject, you usually don't know unless you're 
involved. Sometimes I forget that people don't know that much about 
blindness (dogs, technology, accessibility issues, etc).

I was once asked if my golden was a pit bull. It's amazing how little most
people know about dogs but think they know a lot.

Yes, Monty is a Boxer/Lab mix.  He looks identical to a Boxer except for the

web feet and color.  Also his ears weren't cropped.  He has been mistaken
for a pit, a great Dane, and a Bulldog.

But then again...who knows?  I once had someone ask me if my Beagle was a
pit bull.
