Hi Dan, another self-regulating type of organization is ADI or  
assistance dogs international.
www.adi.org

They are a group much like CUSDGS that quote, certify, all types of  
assistance dog programs-- guide, hearing and service.

I think it would be interesting if programs voluntarily released more  
information about dogs issued, dogs returned, length of working life  
etc.
