Rebecca,
I have never seen a dryer that is tall enough (at chest height) for me
not to have to bend down. The only dryer I've seen that is that tall
was stacked on a front loading washer which was on the bottom and that
would still require the dog to load/unload.
Also I live in New Orleans and homes hear are all very old for the
most part. I have never seen a home (in my price range for renting)
that has that kind of walk in shower. I like big bath tubs as well,
and my dog doesn't mind doing all of these things.
In fact, Mill'E's favorite chore is laundry. She thinks it is the
funnest thing ever ever ever especially when the laundry involves
towels which she can smack me with; she must have been a football jock
in her past life.
Yes, I rely on my dogs for many things but it works for all of us.
Because of where I live and the condition of most homes, and my
budget, this has to be the way it is and I wouldn't expect a dog to do
these tasks if they didn't enjoy it; just like we do with our guides.
A blind person could just choose to use a cane instead of a dog, but
we're on this list because we choose to work with a dog. I make that
same choice inside of my home as well.

Do not meddle in the affaires of dragons, for you are crunchy and
taste good with ketchup.
