[nagdu] PETA opposes the use of guide dogs

Helene,
Many of the guide dog schools in the States promulgate the myth that a
blind person cannot function without their guide dog. Furthermore, most
assert that the blind person's dignity is founded in their guide dog, as
nearly all mention "dignity" as one of the gifts imparted upon the blind by
the school. Of course, this myth helps the school raise funds and they seem
to not care that it is disrespectful and denegrating to the blind who do not
use guide dogs which, of course, is most of the blind!

Fraternally,
Marion gwizdala
