[nagdu] DOJ, PETA <and New Crew disappointing

Hi every one, I am very upset about the DOJ's decision to allow only dogs as
service animals. I think a lot of cats and other animals are going to be
dumped at shelters, as a lot of disabled people can not afford to pay a pet
deposit to their landlords. Many people can not afford a dog as opposed to a
cat. There are a lot of service cats in my area some what do to the fact
that I used to train seizure alert cats and hearing cats.Most people have
had less problems with the cats acting up in public than dogs. I never had
my seizure alert cat act up  any where I took her.I do agree that there are
some animals that should not be used as service animals, but I do think they
should allow the cats and Mini horse guides as well as the dogs. Just
allowing dogs is not going to stop people from continuing to abuse the law.
Bunny, way to go !  I used to show my rabbits in 4H when I was a kid.We had
Dutch and Himalayan.   I enioyed showing my rabbits and guinie pigs and my
Labradore Retriever in 4H.I also sent the PETA woman an email and told her
pretty much what every one else said. I also told her that what kind of a
person is she that she would allow these radical fanatics to brain wash her.
I told her she must be very gullable to fall for this garbage. It's one
thing to care about animals being properly careed for  and to have loving
homes, but some people take things too far and killing adoptable animals
rather than trying to find homes for them is not animal rights! PETA has
taken the right to live  away from these animals.I told her that I had
adopted several dogs from shelters and they did not work out as guide
dogs.That I did not send them back to the shelters and was continueing to
try to find a dog that would work out, through adoption.I also told her that
If I could afford to buy from a breeder that I would probabley also use that
option.I told her that I did not appreciate her telling the world that just
because a person is blind that they can not take care of their dogs and that
she was spreading lies about the blind and our guide dogs and I thought she
should get the facts before spreading such garbage to the public !!!!! BTW,
fried sea kitten is one of my favorites.    My new crew is not working out.
Neither dog wants to do the job. I will keep them untill I find the right
homes for them. I really had high hopes for the Husky / BC, but he just does
not like the wheelchair, and I can't have a guide dog that sits down on the
job. I guess I will keep looking for the right dog. I just hope I find it
before the weather gets hot. I can't make Nala work when her asthma acts
