[nagdu] keeping dogs warm

Hi,
I know this isn't what people exactly want to hear, and I'm not sure how cold it is there but here in WI where right now it stands at being -48 with the wind factor, I and others choose to leave our dogs at home. I use the rule of thumb that if the local schools are closed then Dante shouldn't be out either. However even with it being cold most of the year and having a CA guide dog I also use a fleece jacket also that velcros. It's got a thicker layer on the outside and that protects from snow or sleet. They aren't that expensive I think Dante's large cost about ten bucks at a local pet shop. I agree that the booties are very helpful if you can have your dog keep them on. Wishing everyone a warm day. On colder days before we go out I usually play with him a little to get the blood flowing.
Sarah
