dont feel bad Denver has a jacket too !!! you can e bay weatherbeta dog jackets they have horse blanket type jackets ... Denver has a similar one? whih i had made by a local horse blanket lady . I had his name and? school monogramed on the side? in large lettering? so if i go? sighted guide he can wear it? when it is freezing out and still have? somewhat? of a recognizable service dog attire on ..... his harness fits over it too..... i barley use it as we r in california but? travel to the snowey areas alot and use it there .... i think a hjacket? is a wonderful idea for dogs raised in warmer climates like CA? which is where Denver has been all his life

Hi,
I know this isn't what people exactly want to hear, and I'm not sure how cold it
is there but here in WI where right now it stands at being -48 with the wind
factor, I and others choose to leave our dogs at home. I use the rule of thumb
that if the local schools are closed then Dante shouldn't be out either. However
even with it being cold most of the year and having a CA guide dog I also use a
fleece jacket also that velcros. It's got a thicker layer on the outside and
that protects from snow or sleet. They aren't that expensive I think Dante's
large cost about ten bucks at a local pet shop. I agree that the booties are
very helpful if you can have your dog keep them on. Wishing everyone a warm
day. On colder days before we go out I usually play with him a little to get
the blood flowing.
