Do those who find themselves 'bore with obedience' as well as their dogs,
try to teach their dog new things?  I mean not necessarily new ways to use
previously taught behaviors, but brand new behaviors, such as tricks for
example?  It might be a good way to keep that same relationship that your
school was trying to have you upkeep by practicing obedience with your dog
daily, but without the repetitive boredom aspect.
