[nagdu] Bus seating

Rox,

There is that.  It'd be real cute to have the poodle sit in a seat like a
person, and she certainly would believe this to be more suited to her
station...  Until she became flying depris!  I just like to stick my nose in
the air and pretend I'm too proper to consider it when people invite me to
put her in the seat beside me.  We are much to prim!  /grin/

In waiting rooms, I actuall consider such a thing, then decide to just give
it a miss.  If there were some reason this would be safer and under wasn't
an option, I would snag a seat for her -- or put her in my lap in a
heartbeat!  So far, I have not experienced hazardous waiting rooms, however,
so the poodle can be out of the way on the floor.  /smile/

I would worry about my dog flying off the seat.  The way our bus seats  
are designed, it's like this little butt-shaped contoured plastic  
molded thing. My dog would have to sit to fit all four paws and her  
bum in the seat and her center of gravity will be too high while in a  
sit to allow her to stabilize herself should we have a sudden stop or  
fly over a pot hole.  Our bus drivers seem to find this sudden  
stopping, and pot hole jouncing to be some kind of art form and my dog  
would go flying.

I usually have her in a sit between my knees and even in the seats  
where she sticks out a bit I think that'd be safer than her on the seat.

I do realize that others may have a different experience, though.
