[nagdu] stepper's steps over!

Charlene and others,

That has been my thought, too. It is Stepper's decision, of course!

When I was looking around and then became unable to attend a guide dog
program so got my poodle thing instead, I discovered that home training was
more difficult to get out here on the west coast. Also, I was a first-time
guide dog user, which changed the equation in my case.

Stepper, if you do look into that or consider, I will be thrilled to find
out what you discover and what you decide.

Meanwhile, rest up and live your life. /grin/

Dar, I think that's a really good point. I wonder why the school didn't
think of that or maybe GDB doesn't do home training. Also, I was thinking
that maybe there's some sort of function a service dog could provide to make
it a little easier to get out a bit but not have to go for the full-blown
guide work and all. Then, Stepper could get out as he's able and in a way
that he'd be able to handle. Just thinking.

Hi Stepper,
There will come a day when we all will be in your shoes.
Not being able to handle a dog.
I love how you gave it a swell try.
Do you think if a dog were trained for you, that you could work the dog from
home?
Then you wouldn't have to travel so far?
