[nagdu] defining abuse was being reported to your school

Dan,

Well, if you insist! To be able to function as much as possible -- which
means using my very damaged hands and arms -- during this long course of
healing, guess what I've used as a muscle relaxant/pain reducer? Beer!
Specifically, dark unfiltered beer. Which I discuss cheerfully with my
treatment providers and my medical doctor. I did a lot of boring research
to hit hit on that solution, but I have been known to get a little carried
away, even though I usually do measured doses... Honestly, I prefer a good
Scotch...

So for the past 6 weeks or so I've been trying out a prescription muscle
relaxant, which relaxes my muscles nicely and makes me dizzy and sick and
caused me to get hurt, in fact, which sort of negated the positive effects.
Sigh. Oversensitive to side effects and intolerant to drugs here. Bummer!
It's cheaper, and less fishy to those on the outside looking in. You know
it is, all us blind people are drug-addicted mentally ill drunks... Or so
some of the literature says, without providing actual data to prove it.

So, yeah, to combat my condition I just chugalug a few beers. /grin/ I'm
almost to the point where I won't need a regular muscle relaxant, which
means I can go back to enjoying the Friday night whisky and sci-fi with my
roomie. Instead of sucking on another stupid beer while he smugly enjoys
the good stuff. /lol/

Poor Rox, sorry to hear that.
I have to say though, since I'm a big joker, I thought you were going to say
"to combat this condition I just chugalug a few beers and I feel much
better--big grin.
