[nagdu] What's a goughnut

Is Lexia a hard chewer?
Yes, very much so. When we buy her the three connected rings, she will
immediately find the joint where they were sealed and start to work in
gnawing it apart. In a matter of two minutes, she will have chewed through.
The harder the toy, the harder that she chews.

I bought my guys the rubbery Nylabone once, and
they started tearing chunks out of it in less than half an hour. One
expensive toy in the trash.
Yes, I know that one. We once bought our pet dog a rubber bone, the package
of which claimed that the toy had been pit bull tested. Our pet dog chewed
one of the nubs off.

Can I find Goughnut at PetCo, where I could feel before I buy?

Sorry, these "rare delicacies" are not found in your neighborhood pet store.
You have to order them online. You can order directly from the company. If
you google goughnut, you should find them. It is both the name of the
company and the name of the toy. They also sell a rubber stick. The idea is
to shove the rubber stick through the goughnut and let the dog attempt to
pull it out. However, rather than working to pull the stick out, Lexia uses
the goughnut secured around the stick as a way to better hold on to the
whole contraption and get better leverage in chewing on the stick. I have
since separated the two toys.

Nicole and Lexia the super chewer

P.S. Lexia only chews on toys. She is skeptical of any new toy and will not
play with it immediately.
