[nagdu] a couple questions

My first dog was A German Shepherd and looked the part, especially when the
earth was till green, way back in 1977. Truth was, he wouldn't harm a fly.
Unfortunately, he was one of those over-bred types who had skin problems,
digestion issues, and was prone to pick those he liked and those he didn't,
and let those on the negative side of the equation know about his feelings.

AS a guide, he was almost beyond supurb--he could walk us through the eye of
a needle without touching the sides. He loved shopping in crowded stores
and would not hesitate to give someone the shepherd look and shoulder if he
believed said item was behaving as a spee dbump. And, I never had trouble
getting a seat on a bus; his mere existence in the area was convincing
enough. His name was Brut (pronounced Brute, actually a German Wine.)
After two visits by the awesome Gary Matoon from Seeing Eye, I went for a
replacement and was not charged since TSE said they were responsible for
allowing him through the training program.

One more neat trick he developed on his own was to fetch anything anyone
dropped in my vicinity. I never lost a glove in two years and several other
bus riders owed him money for a similar act.

Doug: Shepherd's pie anyone?
