[nagdu] owner trained dogs

Jordan,

I beg to differ. I've met Rox and seen two of her guides work. They are
some of the most well trained guides I have ever seen.

I have attended three national NFB conventions and loads of other blindness
related functions. I have seen hundreds of guide dogs. I have seen a lot
more craziness from dogs from programs.

I don't want to come across as saying that owner trained guides are perfect
or that we handlers never make mistakes, that is pretty far from the truth.
I would vehemently disagree with the statement that as a group owner trained
guides are more likely to have behavior problems.

didn't you say in an earlier post that your first guide would growl at
people and would have bitten if pressed?

Julie
