I think one big concern in giving a guide dog to a kid would be that
people change a lot physically as they grow up.  A kid is a lot bigger and
stronger at 16 than he or she was at 11, say.  A dog that would be great
for the 11-year-old would probably be way too small and slow for a 16 or
17-year-old.  Charlene's story about Tim seems to indicate that, too.
Charlene's story is very interesting.
