Hi Albert:

If you are thinking about gps programs also take a look at Mobile Geo by
code Factory. This program runs on a windows smart phone, PDA or symbiant
phones. It does require you to be using their mobile speak screen reading
software as well. The guts of the program are from the sendero software
which powers the Braille note I believe.

Albert,

My husband has the trekker with the PDA and it doesn't surprise me
that the GDF was having problems. That thing is a pain in the neck to
use and I'm glad I'm getting one for the braille note instead. I've
seen the Trekker Breeze and it's a lot easier to use. At work, we're
also demoing
a mainstream GPS which is accessible; it's called the Kaptn. I can't
use it because I need a braille display but it's lower in price--
about $500 and is easy to use if you can hear the prompts, lol.

That is great that the GDF will let you come back for GPS training
once you've received your dog.
