[nagdu] guide dogs

Jennifer,

That is too bad. It does happen sometimes, though, for a variety of
reasons.

I'm like you, I would be crushed. It's hard to fully grasp other people's
circumstances, though. I've known a few people over the past couple of
years who have tried to work through a bad match only to find it a relief to
give up the struggle and let the dog move on to something else.

Hmm... Reminds me of my divorce, now that I think of it. Not something I
ever wanted to do, but by the time I made the decision, the relief was just
overwhelming and blunted the sadness.

Not the same thing, I guess, but maybe not so different? /smile/

Your observations of your friend's guide dog experience is certainly
something for you to learn from as you prepare to have your own. It could
very well be that the dog in question needed a stronger handler than your
friend was prepared to be.

I hope things work out well for both her and her dog. It's always sad to
see a parnership end prematurely, no matter what the reason.

My friend Casey has to give her dog back to pillott dogs. The dog did not
work for her. I think that it is because she is not very sturn with the
dog. I think that it is crazy, because she does not seem very upset about
it. I mean if it was me, I would be crushed. I notis a lot that the dog
will bark every time Casey's mom leaves the house. It sounds like to me
that the dog is confused.
