[nagdu] harness fitting question

Hi Everyone,
Dee wears the swiss harness, the one with the plastic quick-release clip and detachable handle. Does anyone else notice that it goes up against the dog's throat when he/she leans into it? I'm not sure if I am holding the handle wrong or if that is just how it sits. Is there a way to keep the strap closer to the dog's chest? Any other harness tips?
