[nagdu] Guide dogs and airport security

I recently flew to Idaho with my husband and our assistance dogs. My
dog wears a vest full of personal and medical information and the
security person did ask me to remove it. I have some needles and an
inhaler in the vest so it did alarm and instead of removing the vest
itself, the TSA worker removed everything and ran it through xray.

I have a balance disorder and it is hard to take my dog's harness on
and off because I have to bend over. It is hard enough to remove my
shoes and put them back on again and I wasn't willing to deal with
more discomfort than I had to.
I told the agent that the equipment stayed on the dog and that they
were welcome to remove the contents of the vest and search my dog who
ignored the entire thing.
I am content to wait for a supervisor if the agent is unwilling to
abide by the law. I've always ended up keeping my equipment on my dog
when in the airport.
