Thank you for the info. I think the 30 day eval is a deal breaker for me.
That is an extremely lengthy period for mere evaluation. I'm sure it helps
to keep the program going.

In case you haven't done this, I suggest you send your inquiry to the
jobs or office professionals list. One thing you should know about Lions
World Services for the Blind (LWSB), in order to get into one of their
training programs, you have to go for a 30 day evaluation. When I did this
in 2009, I completed the evaluation in less than two weeks. The evaluation
consisted of a series of tests to see if I could read braille, type, use a
calculator, cook a meal, make a bed, sew on a button, pack a suitcase, use
JAWS, use a cane, and read an article and write a short paper. You want to
make sure that the IRS is actually hiring LWSB graduates. During the
training, you can check out the facilities for yourself and talk with the
other students. Hope this helps.
