I'm so very sorry you have lost your Shiloh.  You had a wonderful long
journey together, and I know your lives were full and happy.  Don't concern
yourself with whether to get another dog.  Just allow yourself time to
grieve for Shiloh and gather in those happy memories of the two of you.

I know I haven't written much to the list, but just wanted everyone to know
that Shiloh, my retired guide dog, was put down on Friday. She had that hip
and back leg problem and Friday morning she was unable to walk. When she
tried, she kept falling. She didn't want to eat, and that was very strange
for her. After taking her to the vet, we made the decision to put her down.
She was 12, and with me for 10 years.

I feel empty now, but in time, I'm sure I will feel better. Don't know if I
will get another dog, haven't crossed that bridge yet.
