Tammy,

Yes, we had a little white Poodle puppy in 2008 along with several other
pups from our Dallas Puppy group. Since we will not have a booth this year,
the puppy group won't be there to help. Sorry, only Jodi, me and the demo
dog, and Swap of course. <grin>

Jenine,

Oh, I'm glad someone else can confess to that. I think that's why I have
such a hard time getting too tough with people who want to pet Mitzi, even
when neither of us is in the mood for it. Deep in my heart, I know, I am
that insistent petter. Times about 10. /lol/

Sorry I won't be able to see you there. I've become really interested in
GDF from this list, and although I hope not to need to think about needing a
guide dog school for a few years, I always love meeting the staff and their
dogs... Especially when they're out of harness so I can pet them! Was it
you guys who had the little white poodle puppy there in '08? I waited
around a bit to pet him (by which I mean grab him out of someone's hands and
maul him with hugs and kisses) but my black theoretically grown up trained
poodle was pretty jumpy, so I decided I needed to get her out of the noise
and hubbub for awhile instead. She did seem interested in the little guy,
and I had a vision of her jumping up to sniff him and then leaping about
playfully. In full harness. So I gave up and moseyed. Cute little bugger,
though. /grin/

Anyway, maybe next year. Have fun!

Just a note to any GDF grads or applicants/interested folks, please send me
a note off list if you are going to be at the NAGDU meeting or NFB
convention from Saturday through Monday as Jodi and I would love to hook up
and say hello.

We will be bringing a demo dog with us this year so anyone who would like to
take a test walk can also hook up with Jodi. We will have two different
styles of balance harness as well to show you.

Looking forward to meeting many from the list and your dogs. Yes, I'm worse
than some sighted folks about wanting to pet guide dogs. <grin>
