Yeah, goldens do have a high irresistability factor.  I think it's the coats
and the eyes.  They need to be touched! /grin/

I've worked two golden retrievers and did find that joe public was all  
over them.  My previous guide-- a border collie, and my current  
guide-- a Doberman mix are expert at giving "the look."  They don't  
get petted near as much as my goldens did/do.
