What would you do with your child who destroyed something precious to you?
Time out sounds reasonable, so you can cool down.

Present her with the object and let her know you are *not* happy.
Then do obedience.

In the future, be aware of the things that get her into trouble, and secure
them out of her reach whenever possible.

I had a very trouble-prone dog once, and was forced to get trash cans with
lids. A laundry hamper with a lid might not be a bad idea either.
Now I don't have to fight those baddles any longer, which is nice, because I
am a total, and mostly, the confrontation would be after the fact, which
does little good.
JMHO,
Susan & Rhoda

Subject: [nagdu] HELP!!! LIVID DOG HANDLER!!

Hello everyone, sub says it all. I just got out of a a lovely hot bath and
went into my room to change into my pajamas and I found what I at first
thought to be tissues torn up all over my floor. I of course was not happy
about it but not overly angry since Hailey has a propensity to tear up
tissues from the trash. However, oncloser inspection as I went to clean up
the mess I realized what the mess actually was. It was my dirty Seeing Eye
lunch bag that I had put in the laundry since it had corn beef and cabbage
juice all over it. Hailey completely tore out and chewed up the bottom of
the bag. I am so very livid that I don't even want to see her or touch her
right now. What should I do? Help and advice would be very much
appreciated right now. I really don't know what to do.
