[nagdu] NFB Canes

I like the Viagra idea, but will avoid floating the obvious follow-on comments
to that one.

I love the portability and the packability of the telescoping NFB cane, but have
found that if I pull and twist enough so that it does not collapse easily, it
pulls apart completely.  It is a great cane to take to meetings and seminars,
but mine is a complete failure when it comes to navigation.

I end up packing the Revolution graphite cane as a spare when I travel.

Albert,
    The telescopic canes do not have the bungee cord holding them together. 
Instead, they telescope out, much like the legs of a tripod. This makes the cane
much smaller than the folding version. Both the fiverglas and carbon fiber canes
are much lighter than the aluminum folding canes, saving a lot of wear and tear
on the elbow! The disadvantage of the telescopic canes is that the end section
sometimes collapses during use, requiring one to stop and pull it out. A good
pull and twist of the section usually keeps it from doing this. A little Viagra
might help, as well! (grin)
