David,

I've had both the fiberglass telescopic and the carbon fiber and honestly I 
cannot tell the difference.

Well, except for the price! *smile*  Last time the fiberglass was $10 
cheaper.

There seems to be a lot of variety in types of fiberglass or what is being 
sold as fiberglass.   Some of it is heavy and not a very bright white, while 
some of it is indistinguishable from the more expensive carbon fiber.
