It's a special talent. I think you have to be born with the ability to
reach my level of achievement. /grin/
Actually, I've nearly done it a few times, probably from chatting while
walking and trying to turn a corner or something and losing track of the
cane or my feet or both... It helps a great deal if you can arrange to have
your purse fall off your shoulder onto your wrist at just the right instant
to really shake things up! /grin/
The time I actually did trip over the cane (and broke it, BTW), I was at the
dog park, so the ground was nice and springy and I could just do a nice
somersault and wonder if anybody saw... I would say from the volulme of the
incredulous laughter throughout the park that quite a few people saw.

Wait for it... Standing there! I must have been absent-mindedly fiddling
with my cane and kind of swinging it while I watched my dog and chatted,
then decided to take a step forward and... Like I say. It's a gift.
