[nagdu] Recovery from spinal fusion

Hi folks,

Four years ago I had a lumbar spinal fusion at l4,5. My recovery was
relatively quick, but I had Ed's help to do the scut work like
cleaning the litter boxes, feeding and relieving the dogs. I was
able to walk again without pain for several years after the
surgery. My spinal stenosis has worsened and weakened the disks
above and below the fusion.

On July 1, I will have a triple fusion surgery, l3,4,5,s1 and now
that I am a widow, I will have to gather many friends to assist. I
will be wearing a very restrictive brace that will not allow me to
bend or twist. Relieving Keebler and Latrell may be possible, but I
won't be able to pick up the feces. I will need to walk, but will
have to do it in the mall, because temps in Fresno reach well over
100 for most of the summer.

Have any of you worn a back brace and how limiting was it? Keebler
is not a puller, but I'm not sure how we will work together. If
you've had similar experience, please call me at 559-224-0544 Pacific time.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Toni
