Hi Iona,
Great!  Hope you like the new dog!

I heard about GDB no longer using German shepherds because of the high 
failure rate among the breed and the fact that most people can't use them. 
It takes certain people to work sucessfuly with shepherds.  Are you at the 
San Rafael campus or the Oregon one?
