[nagdu] Full Body Scanning Machines

Hi,

I do not think the policy indicates any such thing. The imaging technology
requires that a "full body scan" be made. This means that if other items
such as dogs, wheelchairs, and such are also in the picture then an accurate
scan will not be completed. Also, as Ginger said, the machines are too
small to accommodate more than a person.

Also, remember that a more detailed body pat down or "full body scan" will
not happen for every single person. There will be random checks as well as
additional checking based on whatever "profiling" the TSA uses.

I just flew from Boston and did not go through a more intrusive pat down.

By the way folks, like it or not, we have been quite lax compared to many
other countries. This is how our world is changing due to threats. We may
well see even more harsh security measures depending on what the bad guys
do.

Though going through the detector as we used to is certainly the most
appealing option, who's to say that someone may not pose as a person with a
disability in a wheelchair or with a service dog to avoid the full body
scan? I may be paranoid, but this policy deceminates the belief that people

with any disability are sweet perfectly harmless little dears, and though i
don't plan on bombing an airport anytime soon, a terrorist could definitely

take advantage of this fact in so many situations.

Just my paranoid pesimistic thoughts for the morning,
Meghan
