[nagdu] Cleaning Ears

For routine type cleanings using a liquid cleanser, I nearly saturate a
large cotton ball. I then stuff the cotton ball into the ear so that most
of it is in there, but not far enough down to hurt the dog or make it
impossible to get it back out. Then I massage the base of the ear with the
cotton still inside for a minute or as long as the dog will tolerate. Then
I sort of twist and pull the cotton out. If it is exceptionally gross I'll
repeat, but for routine cleaning that shouldn't be necessary.

If you have been given ear medication from the vet, you'll need to follow
those specific instructions which may vary from what I have just described.
