Hi Rebecca, I use my iPhoneas the GPS receiver and run Navagon and
Aridne GPS. Navigon is for rout planning and Ariadne just tells you
where you are whether moving or stationary. My iPhone is paired with
a braille display and I like it a lot.

I use the Navigon to plan routs ahead of time, and not run it while
walking because I don't like having to deal with my dog, the braille
display and iPhone all at once. But hearing people who don't need to
use braille displays to get information tend to use their gps more on
rout while walking, than does a person who is Deafblind.

Both Navigon and Aridne are available on the App Store if you have an
iPhone.
