Chantel,
    There is no need to apologize for your choice. As consumers, choice is a 
fundamental element that drives an industry. This is the reason we have 
written and passed the Guide Dog Consumers' Bill of Rights and will soon 
release our Consumer Satisfaction survey. One important concept we want to 
impress upon both guide dog users and the training programs is that we are 
consumers. Too many programs see us as beneficiaries, beholden to them and 
subject to them. Such attitudes open the doors wide for abusive treatment. 
Please let us know how your experience is during training and afterward.
