[nagdu] Sarcasm: NAGDU List

Dar,
I also understand that you sometimes use a wheelchair. I thought this
list was only for people who walked. People who use wheelchairs don't
understand those of us who walk, so I am going to unsubscribe. I also
understand that there are some black people on this list, a few gay people,
and, OMG some women here, too! None of these people understand me as a
straight white male and, because of these characteristics - especially the
blacks and the women - are so ignorant as to not be able to adequately
understand anything at all!
I admit this message is meant to be sarcastic, but I send it, not to
flame or offend anyone; rather, it is meant to help you understand the
illogical position you are taking. The purpose of this list is to discuss
issues related to guide dog use. One need not be a guide dog user to discuss
these issues. Furthermore, there are several people on this list who have
come here to get advice and direction before getting a guide dog and there
has never been a problem with this. I'm not sure what makes this specific
issue any different! Neither do I want to know! Though I am not the
Moderator - I am actually the person who assigns the Moderators - I urge
everyone to cease and desist the sort of bigotry this attitude reveals. All
are welcome in our Movement who want to work in the direction of true
progress. Similarly, all are welcome on this list, provided they conduct
themselves with dignity and respect!

Fraternally yours,
Marion Gwizdala, President
