Not sure when they fenced it in, its quite a small area. But you need a
passcode to get into it. If your there, to Ask Mr. Branch or whom ever is at
the receptionist desk and they will tell you. I lived there for over a year
and can't remember the passcode to save my life LOL

There is a relief area now wow, I had to take my dog across the street to
the park last time I was there.

There have been in the past some NFB members who have thought that all
blind
folks need to use canes. Like using a guide dog is taking the wrong route
in
being the most independent blind person possible. I don't know anyone who
thinks this now, this was more of a thinking in my grandfathers time.

I do hear people all the time outside of the organization say that NFB
members and as a organization we do not like dogs. My response to that is,
if we as NFB members, as I as a NFB member, why do I use a dog, why do we
have a division dedicated just to the use of guide dogs. Furthermore, the
National center has a relief area set aside for guide dogs. Apparently our
leaders thought having a relief area was important enough to have one set
aside. Usually they can't answer that. But if someone is so bent on
thinking
that the NFB does not like dogs, there is not much I can do to change
their
  minds.

  Just my two cents,
  marsha

I initally thaught it was because some folks thaught it was no different
than sighted guide or using someone elses sight. I have sence learned
that
some people don't like the fact that some guide dog users don't claim
there
poop. I for one will pick up poop even if it may not be Hollys if I'm not
sure but I've heard some non dog users complain. Some quite bitterly!
Intelligence is always claimed but rarely proven!
