Cool! I like to keep my options open so I've been curious about the
Schnauzers and whether they worked out. I don't know that this puts them
on my list, but you know how it is when you look for a guide dog
prospect... /lol/ The more you know, and all that. If others have
trained them as guides and their handlers are happy with them, then I
know I can consider such a creature if I find a likely one. Still hooked
on poodle and dobie, although new Panda stories have me thinking mini
horse guide. /smile/

I've never met a portie, though I've been accused of associating with
one. /lol/ I finally gave up and started having the groomer leave a
"hint of poodle" in Mitzi's cut just to save myself the time and energy
of explaining that no, really, she's a poodle, just without the funky
do..

The poodle has gotten DD hooked on the breed, especially the lack of
shedding. /lol/ I will admit I am just fine with that, too, although
when the curls get long, they do tend to attract the entire great
outdoors and bring them inside. When we go out for sport and play and
hiking, then dress up and go out for a fancy dinner, I'm always a bit
nervous that I've missed the pine tree hanging off the end of her tail
or something. /lol/

Thanks for the info about the giant schnauzers. I've only known the
small ones and did finally meet a standard schnauzer, which seemed like
a really cool dog.
