Cheryl, of course the dog knows everything!  At least that's what some folks believe!  Holly finds ins and outs, buildings and many other things.  I also pay attention as well.  I sometimes shoreline the sidewalk with myy foot to find a new sidewalk or feature.  When I learn a new route, Holly does as well and we work together.  I do this because I may have occasion to go without Holly.  
Intelligence is always claimed but rarely proven!
