[nagdu] beginning to use a cane

Cindy, some folks really do!  I was on our city bus one time with a woman 
who was convinced that us blind folks should never be let out on our own!  I 
let her go on awhile and then I told her I might meet her at the hospital 
someday.  You see, I was thinking about going into genetic counselling.  I 
informed her that I would advise her not to have any children because it 
would not be fair to see if the gene for such stupidity really existed!  The 
woman sat there and several minutes later realized what I really said!  The 
bus driver knew me and when the woman got off, busted out laughing!!
