Thing is, dogs aren't human and they don't process things the way we do. Toddlers do more than dogs. Dogs don't really know it is holidays. Anyway, it's all good. I just don't see it.

I got a new toy to give to Lexia as her Christmas. My mother said that I should just open the paper bag for her instead of letting Lexia tear up the bag. I won the argument, and Lexia got to tear up the paper bag. What do people think of this? Lexia *never* picks up and chews/tears up anything without permission. As a matter of fact, it took her a moment or two to realize that she could tear up the bag. Given that she won't do it again for several months, possibly an entire year, do people think that Lexia should be allowed to tear open the paper bag to get her present?
