[nagdu] what do you do with your dog when you go away?

Hi, well, I haven't read any of the other letters to the list, so it's my
opinion just based on my first thoughts:

Option one: not good, even though I know you're girl friend loves Bogart,
but I personally wouldn't want to leave a newly trained guide dog alone that
amount of time.
You're supervisor and her husband doesn't sound bad, as do the other
options.
As far as taking your dog, it depends.

1. It's doable, if you feel having your dog with you would be of benefit to
you or desirable.
2. don't be surprised with Turkey and even Germany if you have access
issues.
Germany at least has guide dogs, Turkey does not and from some of my Turkish
acquaintances reactions, you might have a difficult time of it.
Hawaii is of course doable.
So, it's what you think would benefit you.
If I went to Europe, I would bring my dog, but that's just me.
Turkey, though partially in Europe is problematic.
I contemplated a trip to visit a friend who went there, but I was thinking
of not bringing Carter. It didn't happen, though, so I didn't have to
worry.
The next question to ask is: what's your reason for going.
If the dog would be more of a problem than a help, than you would consider
leaving him also.
