Hi Julie:

There was a lot of chatter about this issue previously on the list if you know how to search the archives. (I certainly don't ). What I do with Bogart is get him to sit as I'm about to go through the metal detector. I walk through, usually don't beep, and then call Bogart to me. He is great at sitting there since he doesn't want to be left behind so wants to be a good dog. :)

I travel a fair bit with bogart and this has worked every time for us, even the first time when returning from the school. That was thanks to not being nervous and having heard how many others on the list dealt with it gave me the idea of how I was going to deal with security.
