To continue this converation and my feelings on it, one day I was a visitor in a church because I've been seeking a church. I am a Presbyterian Candidate for Minister of Sacrament and Word. Everybody who spoke to me at all asked me the dog's name. Finally, I ignored the question and said who I was and that I am a candidate. Their response was, "That's nice." One day a guy asked me my dog's name while I was at the gym. I said, "Well, my name is Cindy and the dog's name is Fisher." The guy actually apologized. I dearly love my dog, but because of my mounting sensitivity on this subject, which might change should I get a life, and because I am old and if my current life style continues, he will be my last dog. Part of this is the reasons stated, and part of it is that it is not fair to my school and their donors to put out that kind of money to train such a fine dog for this, though he is a blast to take on trips like to Louisville.
