See if the DS office would provide an assistant. I had taken a Chemistry course where an assistant was hired to watch my guide. I then had a personal escort to take me to the class. The assistant was required to stay and help in the Chemistry lab since the equipment was old. The flame tests were dangerous and many students ruined clothing when the chemical reactions did not work out. The lab consisted of over 50 students crowded in small cubicles. Students had to share the workspace within each cubicle.
